Firefighters Bring Injured Female Contractor Down from Masuk's Roof

A woman was shoveling the high school roof for a contracting company when her back went out Wednesday afternoon

Firefighter Bill Davin said a woman was shoveling snow off the Masuk High School roof Wednesday afternoon when her back went out and she couldn't move.

Firefighters and Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service personnel were called to the scene at around 2:30 p.m.

"We brought a ladder truck, but we didn't end up needing it," Davin said. "Using a Stokes basket, we were able to bring her down with an extension ladder."
