Firefighters Handle An Electric Issue in Stepney

Creative Music, 701 Main Street, had an electrical problem Friday night and called firefighters at 6:08 to check for fire in the wall. 

"The issue proved to be fairly minor, a faulty light ballast with no extension of fire," said Kevin Catalano, the fire department spokesman.

Catalano said five fire trucks from the two Stepney and two Monroe fire stations responded to the call with Stepney Fire Chief Shawn Cornut in charge of the scene, adding the last units left by 6:40 p.m.
