As Monroe residents continue to uncover their driveways after the blizzard, firefighters remind them that hydrants are also buried in the snow.

When firefighters battle a blaze in a neighborhood, locating hydrants buried in the snow, then digging it out, could waste valuable time as the fire spreads throughout the house.

As homeowners shovel and use snow blowers on their driveways in the aftermath of Friday's blizzard, firefighters remind them to dig around hydrants to keep them visible during emergencies.
