Identity Thief Uses Debit Card to Buy $2,457 Worth of iPads

A Blueberry Hill woman's debit card was used by an identity thief to purchase $2,457 worth of Apple iPads, according to a police complaint filed on May 29.

Police said the People's United Bank Fraud Department contacted the victim and notified her of the fraud.

Someone used her People’s United Bank MasterCard debit card to make five online orders of iPads costing $491.92 each, according to the report. Police said the shipping address for the orders was in Dallas, Texas.
