Is Anyone Missing a Diamond Ring?

Police have either a diamond ring or costume jewelry resembling one.

A CardSmart employee told police someone left a "three-stone diamond ring" in what appears to be a white gold setting at the counter of the store at 447 Monroe Turnpike on June 8, sometime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Police said the store posted a sign on the front window saying "Found jewelry. Inquire within", but when no one claimed it, the employees turned it over to the Monroe Police Department.

Lt. Brian McCauley said police do not know if the ring has real diamonds or if it is costume jewelry.
