Man Taken Out of Prison to Be Arrested Again

Gregory Abruzzo, 31, was picked up from the Bridgeport Correction Center on Sept. 18 and brought to the Monroe Police Department to be charged in the Aug. 20 theft of landscaping equipment from a relative on Laurel Drive in Monroe.

The arrest warrant charged Abruzzo of Vincolette Street in Bridgeport with third-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree larceny and he was held on $1,000 bond for Sept. 26 court date.

On Aug. 20, a Laurel Drive resident told police his $100 Echo chainsaw and $60 Echo leaf blower were stolen and said Abruzzo had been at the house at the time of the theft, according to the report.
