Monroe Man Charged with Possession, Dissemination of Child Pornography

Investigation by state and local police lead to arrest of Monroe man on charges of dealing in illegal images.

A Monroe man was arrested on charges of disseminating child pornography after local and Connecticut State Police served a search warrant at his Partridge Drive home Tuesday.

An investigation that began on May 22 into individuals trafficking in digital child pornography files showed that the transactions were originating from 81 Partridge Drive, according to Monroe police.

While executing the warrant, Monroe police discovered evidence linking 31-year-old Anthony Bocchino, of 81 Partridge Drive, to the illegal activity.

The images found during the search were submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Five of the submitted suspected child pornography files were confirmed as known identified child victims.

“The files are clearly of real child victims well under the age of 16 with the focus of the pictures on their genital regions,” Monroe police said in a release Wednesday. “The videos show extremely young children engaged in explicit sexual activity.”

After conducting an onsite digital forensic preview, enough evidence was located to arrest Bocchino. He was taken into custody and charged with possession of child pornography in the first degree, importing child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance.

Bocchino was held on a $100,000 bond pending arraignment in Bridgeport Superior court Wednesday.
