A Countryside Drive woman told police she used her credit card to make a purchase at McDonald's at around 6:40 a.m. on Sept. 18 before leaving for an engagement out of state. About mid-way through her trip, police said she realized she did not have her wallet with her.
Police said the woman managed to return to McDonald's at around 9 that evening, but was told that nobody had turned in a wallet.
The wallet contained approximately $25 cash, a credit card and the woman's Social Security card, according to police.
The incident is under investigation.
