Norwalk Store Owner Sneaks Out, Locks Robbery Suspect Inside

A man who allegedly attempted to rob a Norwalk store got his comeuppance when the owner of the store snuck out and , trapping the suspect inside.

In Trumbull, an alleged shoplifter tried to exit the Westfield Trumbull Mall , including shrimp, video games and clothing. She was arrested.

On a not-so-quiet residential street in Darien, police received reports that youths in the area were running in the roadway,  and yelling obscenities at the occupants. Police who went to the scene said they later came across one 18-year-old who refused to halt, was later detained and said he had been at a party, but refused to say where it was.

A 24-year-old Stratford man was sentenced this week for his part in an armed robbery at a Shelton gas station last December. The man will serve four years in prison after it was determined he in the robbery.

Four teens that allegedly stole a car in Bridgeport then participated in an armed robbery there led police in Stamford the car and all being arrested.

A Naugatuck woman apparently wanted to get her child a gift but didn’t want to pay for it. stealing a $200 Xbox and adapter from Walmart while her juvenile child was with her.

A 26-year-old Derby man was busted by Shelton cops for attempting to sell . Meanwhile, detectives found a large number of illegal pills at his home. His girlfriend was arrested on narcotics charges.

A New York woman allegedly last week when he was questioning her about allegedly harassing her ex-boyfriend.

A teen bicyclist was assaulted in Greenwich by a passenger in a car who apparently early Saturday.

Hi Steve, The comment stream doesn't appear on the homepage in the new design. Some of the sitesRead More that went 2.0 before mine did heard complaints about that. I don't know if it will be changed or not. Right now Patch is gathering all feedback.

Perhaps a unique ID sent out yearly with you tax bill or something like that? Or I think what mightRead More be better is rather than crossing off names manually on a sheet of paper when you go to vote, they should use a computer system. This would allow you to travel to the closest polling place (Not across town as is the case with me.)

That's why I stated, "two MAIN groups of VOTERS": 1. Parent's who always vote YES - theyRead More want as much $$$ for education as possible. 2. People who always vote NO, regardless of budget - they don't want to pay more in taxes. These groups have an obvious reason to vote. After that, it starts to get fragmented. I really haven't seen much literature from the "Parents who don't want more taxes" group.
