One Dead in Accident on Route 25 in Trumbull
A pickup truck crashed into equipment and a construction vehicle at the work site at about 5:30 p.m. The truck then burst into flames. The driver, who was not immediately identified, was reportedly killed.
One person is reportedly dead following a motor vehicle accident that occurred at a construction site on Route 25 northbound near Exit 7 in Thursday evening.
According to a report in the CT Post, citing reports from state police, a pickup truck crashed into equipment and a construction vehicle at the work site at about 5:30 p.m. The truck then burst into flames. The driver, who was not immediately identified, was reportedly killed. The crash closed the exit 7 off ramp to Route 15 south, the report states.
The driver was apparently the only occupant of the truck and no injuries were reported.

It was the second serious motor vehicle accident in Trumbull on Thursday: There was a two-car accident with injuries on Nichols Avenue near Lawlor Terrace at about 9:50 a.m. In that accident, first responders had to cut the roof from a car in order to remove an unconscious occupant, who was transported to the hospital by Stratford EMS.
Both accidents are reportedly under investigation by state police.
