Police Advisory: Main Street, Schools Closed Due to Flooding

Traffic is being diverted around Route 25, from Judd Road to Route 59

Police issued a traffic advisory this morning notifying drivers that Main Street is closed from Route 59 to Judd Road due to flooding. Traffic is being diverted to side roads.

Lt. Brian McCauley said motorists who can, should take alternate routes. He also warns people to drive slowly because water crossing over the roadways is carrying rocks and other debris.

"Motorists driving on secondary roads need to use caution as well, and beware of any large puddles and partially flooded areas," he said. "Don't go driving through puddles that look shallow, because they might not be and cars could get stuck."
