Police Are Trying to Catch An Egg Thief

The owner of Waterview Farm, a home-based business at 1366 Monroe Turnpike, sells eggs on an honors system in which customers take eggs out of a refrigerator, leave the money and take their change out of a cup containing about $20 in small bills. But he reported some dishonorable activity on Oct. 8.

Someone has been stealing the money and the eggs out of the the refrigerator over the past few weeks, according to the report.

Lt. Brian McCauley said a total of $100 cash and $100 worth of eggs have been stolen.
