Police Arrest Man for Threatening Phone Calls

A Middletown man allegedly made harassing phone calls to his ex-girlfriend in Monroe.

A 27-year-old Monroe woman told police March 27 that her ex-boyfriend kept making threatening phone calls after she had told him to stop numerous times.

An officer called the ex-boyfriend, Ralph Penland, 33, on his cell phone and police said Penland was disruptive and told the officer to, "Come and get me," before hanging up on him.

Police officers in Middletown later "got him" in their town and turned him over to the Monroe Police Department, according to the report.
