Police Arrest Monroe Man in Connection with Three Burglaries

Alexander K. Farrell, 21, was arrested at court today

Police served a Monroe man three warrants for burglaries in town at Bridgeport Correctional Center today, where he was being held on other charges.

Alexander K. Farrell, 21, of Nickel Place was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree larceny for an burglary on Barn Hill Road in October; second-burglary for another on Nickel Place the same month; and he was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree larceny for the third burglary on Robin Lane in December.

After an intensive investigation, Monroe Police gathered evidence to apply
for arrest warrants for the crimes.

Bond was set at $5,000 for each burglary for a total of $15,000. Farrell was arraigned today after being arrested at court.

Farrell is currently being held on a $100,000 bond from a previous arrest for his involvement in a fourth burglary in Monroe on Barn Hill Road in November of 2010.
