Police Investigate Theft of 3 Tons of Steel, 300 Gallons of Fuel

The owner of a property on Pinnacle Drive told police Dec. 27 he discovered approximately three tons of steel was missing. 

Police said an unknown quantity of large steel angle iron and 6” diameter galvanized pipe bollards were taken, adding the owner estimates the value of the stolen metal to be around $5,000.

Upon further inspection, police said he also discovered approximately 300 gallons of diesel fuel missing from a storage tank on the property, for a value of about $900.

Police said the theft took place sometime between Dec. 22 and 27.
