Call leads to DUI arrest

A motorist traveling behind a gray Ford F250 pick up truck driving erratically on Moose Hill Road, near Route 110, used a cell phone to report it at around 9:21 Saturday night.

Officers caught up with the Ford on Route 110 and saw it crossing the center line while heading east in the westbound lane, according to police.

The truck was stopped and the driver, Christine McEvoy, 47, of Moose Hill Road in Oxford, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and had glassy eyes, police said, adding field sobriety tests determined she was under the influence.

McEvoy was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane. She was released on $500 bond for an Oct. 12 court date.
