An officer pulled over a '98 Dodge Neon that braked for no apparent reason and swerved in front of his patrol car several times on Main Street at around 9:14 p.m. Nov. 10.

The driver, Geronimo Cordoba, 22, of Main Street in Monroe, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on him and field tests determined he was under the influence, police said. Breath tests at headquarters showed a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, according to the report.

Cordoba was charged with DUI, misuse of plates and failure to drive in the proper lane. Bond was set at $500 for a Nov. 21 court date.

Attempted Burglary

A Stony Brook Drive man reported an attempted burglary Monday morning.

He told police he thought he saw something move when he went outside to get his newspaper at 5:30 a.m. Then his wife later called him asking what he did to the track for the window off of the rear deck of their house.

Police said the screen had been removed from the track, but that the window was locked. No entry to the house had been made.
