Ortega was slumped over the wheel of his 2003 BMW 330 and the engine was running, police said. An officer knocked on the door and asked Ortega to step out of the car.

Police said there was the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Ortega and that field sobriety tests and breath tests determined he was under the influence.
