Police are investigating a creepy phone call and a fraud complaint

A 40-year-old Stevenson woman received 21 calls to her cell phone from a man with a Middle Eastern accent, who asked her lewd questions. When she asked who she was talking to, he spit personal information back at her, including the last four digits of her Social Security number, her employment and her address, according to the police report.
Shaken by the last call, she made a complaint at police headquarters at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday. Police are investigating.

A Spending Spree in Jersey
Newtown Savings Bank notified a 40-year-old Spring Hill Road man that fraudulent charges were made on his bank card in New Jersey.

He told police Wednesday afternoon that four charges totaling close to $300 were made on his card, according to the report. Police said the victim was not in New Jersey at the time and never lost his bank card.
Newtown Savings Bank refunded the money in his account and police are now investigating the crime.
