Thousands in Stolen Copper

Copper components to 10 rooftop air conditioning units at 482 Pepper Street were reported stolen Thursday. Police said each unit will cost about $5,000 to replace.

The owner had asked an Edgerton Heating and Air Conditioning employee to perform maintenance on the units, when it was discovered that interior parts were missing from 10 of the 13 units, according to the report.

The building has been vacant since Robohand Inc. moved out and police said the owner is preparing it for sale.

Vandalism Complaint

The "Welcome to Beardsley Field, Home of the Monroe Little League" sign was reported missing from the field, located at 55 Cross Hill Road, Thursday morning.

Police said the sign, which had stood behind a stonewall on the property, will cost about $1,000 to replace and install. The incident is under investigation.
