A Subway employee was arrested at 8:11 Friday night for allegedly punching her male co-worker in the face several times during an argument.

Nicole Barreira, 22, of Success Avenue in Stratford was charged with third-degree assault and released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 26.

Officers responding to an assault at the 447 Monroe Turnpike sub shop saw that the victim, a 22-year-old Monroe man, had a bloody and swollen lip, according to the report. Police said a review of the surveillance video showed the co-workers arguing before Barreira punched the victim in the face three times.
