 Battery thieves

A Nagy Bros. Construction employee saw a brown Honda backed up to a trailer on the 550 Main St. property at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday morning, then a passenger running from the trailer to the car, which sped off.

DUI on Main Street

An Alpine Drive woman was arrested for drunken driving after police stopped her white Toyota for driving erratically on Main Street at 12:13 Tuesday morning, according to the report.

Police said the driver, Cortney Troccolla, 23, had glassy eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, and added that field sobriety tests determined she was under the influence, leading to her arrest.

During a pat-down, the officer found a small plastic bag containing a leafy substance, which later tested positive for marijuana, and a marijuana pipe in Troccolla's coat pocket, police said.

The Toyota was unregistered, according to the report.

Troccolla was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to drive in the established lane, failure to have insurance, possession of less-than-four ounces of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was released on $1,000 bond for a Dec. 8 court date.
