DUI on Main Street

Officers pulled over a 2002 Dodge pick up truck at 12:58 Wednesday morning after seeing it driving on the center line of Main Street and veer into the north bound lane while heading south, according to the report.

Daniel Lima, 23, of Beers Street in Bridgeport had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on him and only had a Brazilian passport as identification, police said, adding a computer search could not find information on a driver's license.

 Narcotics arrest

Officers stopped a '95 Lexus for crossing the center line while heading west on Elm Street at 9:50 p.m. on Feb. 24, according to the report.

Police said there was a distinct odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and that the police canine Liberty alerted officers that drugs were in the car. Police found marijuana residue in the center console and a small plastic bag of pot inside a gym bag in the trunk, according to the report.

Ryan McEachern, 24, of Church Street was charged with possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $250 for a March 4 court date.
