DUI arrest

An Easton Road man turned himself in on a warrant Tuesday for charges stemming from an automobile accident he was involved in on April 19.

Aaron Krankall, 20, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, failure to drive in the proper lane and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

He was held on $5,000 and brought to court the same day.

Thefts from vehicles

Two thefts from motor vehicles were reported by an Elm Street resident at 11:16 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said a $900 laptop was taken from one car and $200 cash was stolen from the glovebox of another vehicle. The incident took place sometime overnight and there were no signs of forced entry, according to police.

Lt. Brian McCauley reminds residents not to leave valuables in their vehicles and to lock their doors. "Don't make yourself an easy target for criminals," he said.
