Police Reports: Gifts Stolen Under the Christmas Tree
An Old Newtown resident reported a residential burglary Tuesday.

An Old Newtown woman worked in her basement office at around 12:19 Tuesday afternoon when she heard noises upstairs. When she walked up there, police said she saw a man in an orange shirt leaving through the side door.
Police said it appears that entry was gained through a broken ground-floor window.

The homeowner was unsure if anything was taken, but told officers that it looked like some Christmas gifts were missing from under her tree, according to the report.
Police are investigating the burglary.
