Police Reports: Burglary on Patridge Drive, Roof Damage

Winter is losing its grip, but another Monroe home had roof damage from heavy snow Saturday. A burglary was reported on Feb. 9.

Burglary on Patridge Drive

A Partridge Drive resident returned home at 12:42 p.m. to find the house in disarray, according to a burglary complaint reported on Feb. 9.

Police said a TV, electronics, tools and jewelry were missing. Papers were scattered in the livingroom and the master bedroom upstairs was ransacked, police said, adding the point of entry to the house has not been determined.

Detectives are investigating the incident.

The roof of a house on Old Mine Lane buckled under the weight of snow that accumulated from this winter's storms and police and firefighters were called to the scene at 2:44 p.m. on Saturday.

Utilities were told to shut off the power and Deputy Fire Marshal Chris Doyle took over the scene.
