Police Reports: Burglary on Ridgedale Road

Jewelry was stolen during a daytime burglary Thursday.

A Ridgedale Road woman told police she got home from a shopping trip at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Entering through the front door of her house, she carried bags of groceries to the kitchen when she noticed a rear window had been smashed and that the French doors off the kitchen were left open, police said.

The woman immediately called police and waited outside, police said. The family dog, which was kept home, was safe, according to the report.

Police said expensive electronics, including an iPad, a computer, iPods and flat screen TVs were left untouched during the burglary, however, jewelry was stolen from the master bedroom.
