Police Reports: Couldn't You Hold It?

A driver is arrested for a slew of motor vehicle charges after he pulled into a parking lot to allow a passenger to go to the bathroom late Saturday night.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Monroe Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Late Night Charges

At 10:58 Saturday night, officers on patrol saw a blue Subaru pull into the parking lot at 163 Main Street when all of the businesses were closed, according to the report. After it parked, police said the driver turned the lights off.

When the police car entered the parking lot, police said the Subaru's lights came back on and the vehicle started to head out, before being pulled over.

The driver, William Campbell, 20, of Underhill Road in Milford told officers he wanted to have his windows tinted, so he went to the Tint Man in the center, according to police. When an officer told him the business was closed, police said Campbell admitted that he really came in so one of his passengers could take a leak.

Two men ages 20 and 21 were in the car with Campbell.

Police said Campbell also confessed to having no insurance and to driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle. Officers also noticed that the front plate did not belong to the Subaru, according to the report.

Campbell was charged with driving with a suspended license, having no insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and misuse of plates. Bond was set at $500.
