Police Reports: Fraud Bills Victim Later

Detectives are investigating $413 in charges to an online account the victim never set up.

A 41-year-old Cheryl Drive man came to police headquarters Tuesday to report that someone had fraudulently opened a BillMeLater.Com account in his name and used it to purchase $413.85 worth of merchandise from gaming places through PayPal.

BillMeLater is a Paypal service that bills you after the purchase as opposed to being attached to a credit card, according to the report. BillMeLater told the victim he is not responsible for the charges, said.

Police obtained an email and phone number and are investigating the incident.
