Police Reports: Hit and Run Outside Commerce Drive Business

Police responded to a report made by an employee of American Heat Treating Inc. Friday saying his car was vandalized sometime during his work shift.

According to the report, the employee parked his gray 2007 Toyota Avalon near the entrance to the building on 16 Commerce Drive at approximately 2:40 in the afternoon.

When the he returned to the vehicle at 6:30 p.m. he discovered the driver's side rear bumper and taillight was damaged.

During the investigation police determined the incident was a hit and run accident and the car had been struck by a larger vehicle.

The case is currently under investigation.
