A Cross Hill Road man apparently annoyed by his neighbor's loud music, allegedly raised his chainsaw, revved it and said, "I will kill you" when the Millo Drive resident drove by at around 1:44 p.m. Monday, according to a threatening complaint.

The 19-year-old Millo Drive man told his father about the incident and they called the police. His father told officers that Mota had been complaining earlier about the music his son was playing in their garage, according to the report.

Police said Mota had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on him when officers placed him under arrest.

Harassment by Text

A West Haven man turned himself in on a warrant Tuesday after allegedly violating a protective order.

Michael Iovino Sr., 34, of Overlook Street was charged with second-degree harassment and criminal violation of a protective order. Bond was set at $20,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

On Sept. 11, police said Iovino saw his wife, who has a protective order against him, and their son at a football game, approached her and they exchanged words before leaving. Then he allegedly began texting inappropriate things to her over the course of about 50 text messages, according to police.
