Stealing windows from Spring Hill Road residence leads to arrest. Truck windshield busted by pellet gun

Monroe Man Turns Himself in on Warrant

A Monroe man turned himself over to police Monday after being informed of an arrest warrant for allegedly stealing storm windows from a Spring Hill Road residence.

Brian Loulis, 35, of Monroe was charged with sixth-degree larceny and simple trespass stemming from a June 25 incident at 312 Spring Hill Road.

According to the arrest warrant, Loulis and another person arrived on the property shortly before 3 p.m. and told the homeowners he was picking up junk and would also take four storm windows near a garage door.

The home owners told Loulis he could take some of the junk but not the storm windows from the property.

However, according to the warrant, Loulis was observed by the homeowners putting the storm windows in the bed of the pick up truck.

As the truck was leaving, a relative who regularly removes junk from the property arrived and asked Loulis what he was doing.

Loulis told him he was removing the junk and sped off, but not before the relative wrote down the license plate number and reported the incident to police.

During the investigation, police were able to identify the truck and Loulis based on the description provided by the relative.

Loulis was released on $750 bond and is due in Bridgeport Superior Court on Aug. 25.

Pellet Gun Shatters Window

A Moosup Trail resident told police Monday that a truck parked in his driveway was vandalized sometime during the previous night.

According to the incident report, police observed three pellet gun holes in the back window of a pick up truck that was shattered while parked on the property.

Police said the truck was not registered and there were no witnesses to the incident.

The case is under investigation.
