Police Reports: Man Allegedly Punches 68-Year-Old Mom in the Face

Burglary on Pastors Walk and an arrest for assault.

Man Allegedly Punches Mom

A 68-year-old Woodycrest Road woman told police at 10:13 Friday night that her son arrived home intoxicated and rang the doorbell, while screaming for her to open the door.

Police said Joseph Peters, 38, kicked the door in and ran upstairs where he confronted his mother. She tried to push him away and he allegedly punched her in the face, police said.

The woman ran out of the house and called police, according to the report. When officers arrived, police said they saw that the victim had swelling in her face, then found Peters in a bedroom and placed him under arrest.

Peters was charged with assault of a victim age 60-years or older and held on $2,500 bond for a Sept. 6 court date.

Burglary on Pastors Walk

A Pastors Walk woman arrived home from work at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday and noticed a back door was partially open, police said. The drawers in a bedroom had been dumped out and police said $6,500 worth of items were stolen, including a TV and all of the victim's jewelry.

The burglar(s) had entered the house through an unlocked back door, according to police.
