Police Reports: Officers Nab Suspected Drug Dealer

Near traffic accident leads to the arrest of a passenger

A 19-year-old Beacon Falls man was arrested on drug charges at 6:19 Monday night after a Ford Explorer he was a passenger in nearly collided with another vehicle on Monroe Turnpike, according to the report.

Police said an officer heading south on Route 111 in an unmarked police car saw a green 2004 Ford Explorer with a male driver and passenger pull out of the south Dunkin Donuts driveway and cut off a vehicle, nearly causing a collision.

The officer stopped the Explorer at Village Square and noticed bottles of Visine in the center console, Lt. Brian McCauley said, explaining that Visine is often used to treat red eyes after smoking marijuana.

The passenger, Tyler Pelloquin, 19, of Bethany Road in Beacon Falls, told officers the items were his, according to the report. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal manufacture, distribution or sale, sale of narcotics within 15 feet of a school and possession of marijuana.
