A Shelton man was arrested for drunken driving at 1:26 Thursday morning after an officer saw him driving his Chevy Trailblazer south on Monroe Turnpike, turn onto Purdy Hill Road and cross the double yellow line several times, according to the report.

Jason Geib, 26, of Adams Drive was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane. He was released on $500 bond for a June 13 court date.

The officer stopped Geib's Chevy near the intersection of Greenlawn Road and police said Geib had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on him and bloodshot and glassy eyes. Geib told the officer he drank six beers, according to police.
