A woman was arrested for drunken driving after police officers responded to a two-car accident on Main Street at 9:31 Wednesday night.

No injuries were reported, but police said Nicole Anne Russitano-Grashow, 39, of Plymouth Avenue in Trumbull, had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her. Russitano-Grashow told officers she had drank three glasses of wine at dinner earlier, according to the report.

Field sobriety tests at the scene and two breath tests at headquarters determined Russitano-Grashow was under the influence, police said.

She was charged with DUI and bond was set at $500 for a Dec. 19 court date.

A DUI on Main

A police officer driving north on Main Street at 9:44 Tuesday night saw a vehicle heading in the opposite direction cross over the center line into his lane, according to the police report.

The officer turned around and signaled for the driver to pull into the Tula Restaurant parking lot and police said the vehicle went over the curb as it entered the lot.

The driver, Anthony Caltabiano Jr., 44, of Pauline Street in Trumbull, had red glassy eyes, appeared confused and fumbled around when getting his license, registration and insurance card, police said. Field sobriety tests and breath tests determined he was under the influence, according to the report.

Caltabiano was charged with failure to drive in the established lane and DUI. Bond was set at $500 for a Dec. 13 court date.
