Her husband went outside and tried to make a phone call from his Jeep Wrangler, according to the report made at 8:14 p.m.

Then Sylvester allegedly backed her Lexus of the garage, with their 13-year-old daughter sitting in the passenger seat, and shifted to drive, ramming the jeep several times, knocking it into the garage and house causing damage to both structures, police said.

Sylvester was later arrested at a relative's house in Greenwich with the assistance of that town's police department.

She was charged with risk of injury, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree assault, third-degree strangulation, breach of peace and criminal mischief. Bond was set at $90,000 and Sylvester was scheduled to go to court Wednesday morning.

Burglary on Pastors Walk

A burglary was reported at Pastors Walk on Monday. An inventory of the victim's belongings is still underway, but so far a laptop, a camera and assorted jewelry were reported stolen.

Police said the homeowner went out at 8:20 Monday morning and came back at 12:30 p.m. to find the front door unlocked.

Pry marks were found on a rear door and police said entry had been made through a window in back of the property.

Sleet causes Monday mayhem

Monday morning's sleet caused downed trees and several car accidents. One accident on Pepper Street knocked out power in that neighborhood.

Police said Justin Safee, 19, of Bart Road lost control of his car and struck a utility pole at about 8:55 a.m. He did not suffer any serious injuries, according to police, and was treated by Emergency Medical Service volunteers at the scene.

However, he was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for conditions.

A Connecticut Light & Power crew was called in to fix the pole and restore power.

Other weather-related calls that day included a tree hung up over wires on Old Newtown Road, a tree and wires down on Turkey Roost Road, a tree hung up on wires on Monroe Turnpike, and a large tree blocking traffic on Huntingtown Road.
