Theft at the Park
A 36-year-old Bridgeport man told police Thursday that he was playing basketball at Wolfe Park at 8 p.m. on Tuesday and kept his wallet, car keys, cell phone and drinks in a plastic bag on the ground nearby.
When he came back to get his bag one hour later, police said he found it empty with his keys on the ground. His credit card company later called him to report a suspicious purchase at a Walgreen's pharmacy on July 19, according to the report.

A 33-year-old Pepper Street man complained Thursday that he had been seeing large clouds of gray colored dust coming from a rock quarry for the past few weeks, which left a layer of fine dust on his picnic table, according to the report.
Police said officers found a man legally crushing rocks for AMEC Carting, 523 Pepper Street, and that he told them he did not realize he was causing dust for his neighbors and that he'll be watering down the rock crushing operation from now on.
