Police: Woman used Video Game to Lure Minor into Sexual Relationship

Maine woman, now 22, met a 14-year-old Monroe male last year by playing 'Modern Warfare: Call of Duty' online.

A 14-year-old Monroe male met a girl last year, while playing the Sony Playstation 3 game "Modern Warfare: Call of Duty" with her online. They developed a relationship via webcam, texting and telephone. But it all ended when his parents discovered she was a 21-year-old woman, they had thought was 16, according to the police report.

Police said Cassandra Grant, now 22, of Marks Lane in Rockland, Me., had arranged to meet the minor in December of 2011 (when he was 15) and had sexual relations with him. A joint investigation by the Monroe Police Department and the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit led to Grant being arrested on a warrant Monday.

She was charged with risk of injury to a minor and second-degree sexual assault. Bond was set at $10,000 for a March 21 court date.
