Roadkill. It's What's for Dinner

After his daughter accidentally hit a deer with her car on Webb Circle, a man took it home for the venison meat.

A deer had to be euthanized on Jan. 17, after a young Monroe woman accidentally struck it with her vehicle while driving in the 300-block of Webb Circle at around 1:05 a.m. Monroe Animal Control said the animal's body was still in good condition, so the woman's father asked if he could take it home for the venison meat.

An officer allowed him to take the 75-pound-deer home, according to police.

No damage to the vehicle was reported.
