She Believes a State Marshal Entered Her House
An Oakwood Drive woman served with papers says the packet was too thick to have been slid under the door.

Police are investigating whether a state marshal let himself into an Oakwood Drive woman's house to serve her papers on Monday. The resident told police she found a packet in her home that was too thick to have been slid under the door.
She filed a complaint on Tuesday telling police she believed the marshal had no right to be in her home, according to the report.

Truck vs. Mailbox
An Old Newtown Road woman told police on Aug. 4 that her mailbox was struck by a passing vehicle and destroyed. An officer found the mounting arm in the driveway with parts of a truck mirror and broken glass, but with no marking to indicates the make of the truck, police said.

The resident told the officer her mailbox is valued at $500.
Wallet Found
An EMT on his way to the Monroe EMS headquarters on Jockey Hollow Road found a wallet on Pepper Street while heading out to start his shift at 11:17 p.m. on Aug. 5.
Police were able to identify who it belonged to. Then when the EMT was heading home at the end of his shift at 9 a.m., he found the owner's credit cards, driver's license and seven dollars in cash scattered on Pepper Street.
