Shoplifter Swipes Baby Formula and Beer

A security officer at Big Y supermarket discovered the theft of $197 worth of baby formula and beer from the store while reviewing surveillance footage. Police said they were notified on Aug. 9, though the theft had taken place four days earlier.

A white man wearing a Hoodie and jeans was seen carrying two Big Y bags into the store at 535 Monroe Turnpike early one morning, filling them with baby formula and beer, and leaving without paying for it, according to the report.

Police are using the surveillance tapes as part of their investigation.
