Spit & a Bottle of Pills Fly in Pharmacy Dispute

Police say a woman got angry when the pharmacist could not take back a prescription.

A woman trying to return a bottle of Ibuprofen at the CVS at 535 Monroe Turnpike July 5 allegedly lost her temper when the pharmacist told her federal law prevents him from taking back a prescription.

Police said Mamudovski Nedzmje, 67, "became belligerent, spat at him and missed, then took the cap off the 180-pill bottle and threw it at him — hitting him in the face — and left the store.

The security camera backed up the pharmacist's version of events, according to police.

Officers went to Nedzmje's home on Shelton Road in Monroe and she admitted to being in the store and behaving poorly, police said, adding she was issued a misdemeanor summons for breach of peace and released on a promise to appear in court on July 15.

Police said Nedzmje had tried to return the pills because it was the wrong medication in the wrong quantity.
