Stepney Firefighters Offer Roses for Your Flame

A Valentines Day fundraiser will be held this weekend, as firefighters sell bouquets and baby's breath

Stepney volunteer firefighters hope their Valentines Day Roses Sale ignites couples' passions this year. A variety of bouquets will be sold at Stepney Station 1, 88 Main St., from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. this Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Fire Chief Michael Klemish said customers may choose from a dozen red roses for $25 or arrangements of two dozen roses of colors other than red for the same price. Baby’s breath will be available for an additional charge.

All proceeds will be used for training and equipment for Stepney firefighters, according to Klemish.
