Firefighters had to extricate a 70-year-old Monroe woman from her 2008 Kia Sportage after she lost control of it on Moose Hill Road and crossed the center line, before going off the road and hitting the front of a house at around 10:54 Friday morning.
Monroe EMS took the woman to the hospital for treatment of "non-life threatening injuries" and three people inside the house — in the 300-block of Moose Hill Road — were reportedly uninjured, according to police.
"The cause of the crash remains under investigation," said Police Lt. Brian McCauley. "Town of Monroe Building Officials were notified and will evaluate the condition of the structure."
