Theft from a Backpack and Vandalism of a BMW

A theft and a minor vandalism were reported at Masuk High School.

On Sept. 25, a student reported the theft of a white $350 iPod and $40 cash from inside his backpack. Police said he had left his backpack in an unsecured locker in the boys' locker room, while he was attending fifth period gym class.

Another Masuk student, 17, told police his BMW was vandalized in the school parking lot on Sept. 26.

At the end of the day, he noticed someone had written "Park a little closer next time", in what appeared to be pink marker, on the window of the car. The vehicle was properly parked between the lines of the designated parking space, according to police.

The marker easily washed off of the windows, and there appeared to be no further damage to the vehicle, police said.
