A 46-year-old Sandy Hook woman reported the theft of her Coach bag from her 2011 GMC Acadia, which was broken into in the Fitness 4000 gym at 630 Main Street on Nov. 18, according to police.
Police said a rock had been used to smash the left rear window of the vehicle, then the handbag was stolen off the floor behind the driver's seat, adding the rock was left inside the Acadia.
The Coach bag contained approximately $100 cash, credit cards, a driver's license and personal items, the report said.

Police said the victim told officers she had left her vehicle in the parking lot at around 7:30 p.m. while she attended a class inside the gym. She later discovered the break in and reported it to police at 8:45 p.m.
