Toilet Paper? Fine. Raw Eggs? Clean it Up

Officers responded to two vandalism complaints and a large tree limb damaged two postal workers' vehicles.

Mailbox Vandalism

A Birchwood Road woman told police her mailbox was damaged on Nov. 3.

She believes two boys who came to her door on Halloween Night may have done it after she told them the town had postponed trick or treating to Nov. 9, but police said there is no proof of that.

Eggs Are the Last Straw

A Century Hill Road man told police Nov. 2 he saw a youth he recognized from the neighborhood throwing toilet paper on the trees in his front yard, but was going to let it go because he was young once. Then he found cracked eggs in his mailbox the next morning and wanted the kid to clean it up.

Police said officers talked to the youth's parents and he later cleaned up the mess.

Tree Branch Falls on Vehicles

Two U.S. Post Office employees told police their vehicles were in the parking lot at 270 Monroe Turnpike on Oct. 29 when a large tree limb snapped and came crashing down onto the vehicles.

The 2005 Dodge Magnum had a large dent on the passenger side and the passenger mirror was broken. The 2007 Ford Explorer had a broken side mirror and the cover to the bed of the truck was ripped, police said.
