A local woman was killed Sunday when her car veered out of control and struck a tree on the Wilbur Cross Parkway in North Haven, the New Haven Register reported.
Police identified the woman as Katherine Fontneau, 23, of 71 Laurel Dr., the Register reported. Police told the Register said she was traveling southbound about a mile north of Exit 63 at about 5:30 p.m. when she lost control of her Honda Civic, crossed the right lane and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the paper reported.
