Vandalism at the YMCA

A YMCA employee reported a vandalism incident on Sept. 2 in which two $10 master locks were cut from gates in the pool area and a wooden gate by the pool appeared to have been kicked and a deck chair was thrown into the water. A pipe to an outdoor water fountain was cut, according to the police report.

In another area of the 204 Stanley Road grounds, a chain locking boats to the dock was cut, sending three boats adrift in the pond. Police said the boats were recovered and were not damaged.

Police are investigating the incident, which took place sometime overnight.
